In a decisive counteroffensive, joint security forces in Zamfara State have repelled a retaliatory attack by bandits in Mada, Gusau Local Government Area, neutralizing several terrorists, including the notorious kingpin Kachalla Dogo Idin Madu.
According to intelligence sources, the assault unfolded in the early hours of Wednesday when heavily armed bandits stormed Mada, seeking revenge for recent security operations. However, troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA, in collaboration with the local vigilante group Askarawa, swiftly engaged the attackers in a fierce gunfight.
The security forces overpowered the insurgents, inflicting heavy casualties and securing the area. Among those eliminated was Kachalla Dogo Idin Madu, a terror mastermind responsible for multiple kidnappings, killings, and violent raids in Zamfara State.
This latest success further underscores the relentless efforts of security agencies in dismantling criminal strongholds and restoring peace to the troubled region.
