Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has revealed a last-minute change in penalty duty during a crucial match, all based on a single look at Endrick’s face.
Speaking to the press, Ancelotti admitted there was initial uncertainty about who should take the decisive penalty—new sensation Endrick or defensive rock Antonio Rüdiger.
“We wanted Endrick… But then I saw his face and I decided Rüdiger was the better option (laughs),” the Italian tactician confessed.
The lighthearted moment underscores the pressure of top-level football and the crucial split-second decisions managers must make. Whether Endrick will get another chance remains to be seen, but for now, Ancelotti’s instinct—and Rüdiger’s nerve—won the day!
