The Chairman of Funtua Unity Foundation, Comrade Mannir Mohd Sulaiman, has described the outgoing Funtua Local Government Chairman, Alhaji Lawal Sani Funtua, as a trustworthy leader worthy of emulation.
Speaking during a courtesy visit by officials of the foundation, Comrade Sulaiman commended Alhaji Lawal Sani for his transparency and honesty in discharging his duties. He noted that the visit was to congratulate him on the successful completion of his tenure and wish him well in his future endeavors.
He further explained that the foundation has embarked on a series of familiarization visits to key stakeholders in Funtua to introduce its activities, which focus on education, healthcare, philanthropy, humanitarian services, and job creation. He urged the outgoing chairman to uphold his principles of honesty and decorum, setting an example for others to follow.
In his remarks, Alhaji Lawal Sani Funtua expressed appreciation for the visit and encouraged members of the foundation to remain steadfast in addressing challenges affecting the people of Funtua. He also called on other associations to collaborate in achieving common goals for community development, pledging his support to the foundation’s initiatives.
Treasurer of the foundation, Alhaji Nura Sulaiman Yandaki, also praised the outgoing chairman, describing him as a man of integrity. He emphasized that the foundation remains a non-political organization dedicated to improving the welfare of the people.
