Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum, has embarked on a two-day working visit to Biu town, accompanied by Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume, Hon. Betara Aliyu, and other top government officials.
During the visit, Governor Zulum commissioned a state-of-the-art Orthopaedic and Eye Hospital to enhance healthcare services in the region.
He also laid the foundation for the construction of 600 housing units across Biu, Gubio, Magumeri, and Hawul, aimed at reducing the housing deficit in these communities.
In a major economic boost, the governor launched the distribution of ₦1 billion to support small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Biu and its environs, empowering local businesses and stimulating economic growth.
Governor Zulum further reinforced his administration’s commitment to education by commissioning the Government Day Secondary School in Miringa, ensuring better learning opportunities for students in Southern Borno.
