Gwagware Foundation Will Continue To Touch Countless Lives – Governor Radda

Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has reiterated the commitment of the foremost nongovernmental Organization, Gwagwaren Foundation to continue touching countless lives through various initiatives.

The Governor, who doubled as the Founder of the foundation, made this declaration during the ceremony marking the 9th Anniversary of the Foundation and the commissioning of Conference Hall, named after Barebari Radda.

Governor Radda emphasized the foundation’s unwavering mission to uplift the lives of the most vulnerable members of society.

“The Gwagware Foundation has been a beacon of hope for many, touching countless lives through its various initiatives, support for orphans, educational assistance and extending help to disadvantaged community members,” the Governor stated,

Governor Radda further maintained that the foundation has distinguished itself through comprehensive support programs that address critical social needs. From supporting children unable to afford school fees to empowering women entrepreneurs, the Gwagware Foundation has demonstrated an exceptional commitment to community welfare.

The Governor acknowledged the widespread support received from individuals, organizations, and government institutions, including the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Governor Radda noted this as a clear testament to the foundation’s important contribution to national development. “We pray that God continues to provide the means and resources to sustain these efforts, ensuring that those who need assistance receive it without hindrance,” he emphasized.

The Governor called on the foundation’s leadership to maintain the highest standards of integrity and service. “The responsibility of leadership is a sacred trust,” he reminded the Foundation umpire.

Also speaking at the event, former Governor Barr. Ibrahim Shehu Shema and the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Political and Other Matters, Alhaji Ibrahim Kabiru Masari, heaped praise on Governor Radda and the Foundation stakeholders for dedicating their time and resources towards uplifting the lives of the people of Katsina State.

Recounting the Foundation achievements, the Chairman of the Gwagwaren Foundation, Alhaji Yusuf Aliyu, said, “The Foundation has introduced ten new projects focused on training, vocational education, and various empowerment programs designed to uplift our people.”

“Over the past nine years, this foundation has remained steadfast in its mission to support students through the establishment of schools and educational initiatives. Our goal is to ensure that this vision is fully realized, and we pledge to continue serving with dedication and purpose,” the Chairman added.

Alhaji Yusuf, particularly stressed, “Last year alone, we successfully executed seventy-seven programs and directly supported 48,000 individuals with various livelihood interventions. This year, we have set an ambitious target to provide educational support for 2,000 out-of-school children and further expand our water supply initiatives.”

“So far, we have completed the construction of 44 boreholes—one in each local government—while additional contributions from local government authorities have brought the total to 46 functional boreholes across the state,” he stated.

In attendance were the Deputy Governor Malam Faruk Lawal Jobe, Chief of Staff to the Governor Alhaji AbdulKadir Mamman Nasir, Principal Private Secretary to the Governor Hon. Abdullahi Aliyu Turaji, Board Member of the Northwest Development Commission Hon. Shamsu Sule among other notable dignitaries.
