Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, has commended the Theatre Commander, Northeast Operation Hadin Kai, Major General Waidi Shaibu, for providing an enabling environment that has contributed to security and stability in the state.
Governor Zulum also acknowledged the efforts of other security chiefs, recognizing their collective commitment to restoring peace and facilitating socio-economic activities across the Northeast.
The commendation came during a Ramadan iftar in Maiduguri, on the 2nd day of Ramadan where Major General Shaibu, speaking on behalf of all security chiefs, reaffirmed the military’s dedication to maintaining peace and supporting developmental initiatives in the region.
He highlighted ongoing security operations, including coordinated efforts between troops, hybrid forces, and civilian volunteers, aimed at consolidating gains in the counterinsurgency campaign.
Security personnel also joined in prayers for sustained peace and progress, underscoring the holistic approach being adopted to stabilize the region.
