The Kano State Hisbah Board has intensified its enforcement of Islamic laws, arresting 20 Muslims for publicly eating and drinking during the ongoing Ramadan fast. The arrests, carried out in different parts of the state, underscore Hisbah’s commitment to upholding religious observance.

According to the board, those apprehended will be counseled before facing possible penalties, as authorities maintain a strict stance against public violations of the fast. The crackdown comes amid repeated warnings from the Hisbah leadership, urging residents to respect the sanctity of the holy month.
