In a bid to alleviate the sufferings of his constituents during the holy month of Ramadan, Senator Ibrahim Mohammed Bomai has embarked on a humanitarian effort to distribute rice palliatives to over 50,000 people.
The exercise, which kicked off in Potiskum town, is expected to reach all 44 wards across the four Local Government Areas of Fune, Fika, Nangere, and Potiskum.
According to Abubakar MB Tamana, Legislative Aide to the Senator, “this exercise will be extended across the four Local Government Areas of Fune, Fika, Nangere and Potiskum, It will reach out to all the 44 wards.”
The gesture is part of Senator Bomai’s efforts to improve the living conditions of his constituents, regardless of their social status. This is not the first time the Senator has provided support to his constituents. In January 2025, he distributed bags of rice palliatives and cash to 2,000 People With Disabilities (PWDs) in Potiskum.
Beneficiaries of the Ramadan food drive have expressed their gratitude to the Senator, praising his commitment to development in the Senatorial District.
