Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has called for a national commitment to unity and inclusiveness as the best way to immortalise the late elder statesman, Chief Edwin Clark.
Leading a high-profile delegation to Clark’s Abuja residence on Friday, Atiku, alongside former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai and former Adamawa State Governor Bindow Jibrilla, paid tribute to the late nationalist.
Speaking during the visit, Atiku emphasized that Chief Clark’s enduring legacy lies in fostering national unity. “The best way to truly immortalize the late foremost nationalist and statesman, Chief Edwin Clark, is to pursue a deliberate agenda of unity and inclusiveness in Nigeria,” he stated.
Echoing this sentiment, El-Rufai urged the Clark family to sustain his vision of a united Nigeria, ensuring that his lifelong struggle for national cohesion remains alive.
The delegation was warmly received by Pen Clark on behalf of the family.
