The Katsina State Independent Electoral Commission (KTSIEC) has commenced the distribution of sensitive election materials across the state’s 34 local government areas ahead of the upcoming elections.
Speaking at the flag-off ceremony held at the Commission’s premises, KTSIEC Chairman, Alhaji Lawal Alhassan Faskari, assured stakeholders of a smooth and transparent electoral process. He emphasized that all necessary arrangements, including security measures, had been put in place to ensure the materials reach their designated locations safely and on time.
“The Commission has recruited and trained over 20,000 ad-hoc staff to oversee the election process across the 6,652 polling units. We have taken extra measures to ensure there are no delays in the arrival of sensitive materials at polling centers,” he stated.
He further announced the availability of dedicated mobile lines for voters to report any election-related concerns directly to the Commission.
Faskari commended security agencies, political parties, and other stakeholders for their cooperation and urged continued support to guarantee a hitch-free election.
With the distribution now in motion, attention turns to the conduct of the elections, as KTSIEC reassures the electorate of a credible and efficient process.
