In a bid to promote sustainable energy solutions and tackle youth unemployment, the North East Development Commission (NEDC) has taken a major step by presenting Briquette Making Machines to trainees.
The presentation ceremony, held at the NEDC headquarters, was presided over by the Managing Director, Mohammed Goni Alkali. Addressing the trainees, he emphasized the commission’s commitment to equipping young people with practical skills and resources that enable self-sufficiency while driving economic development in the region.
The beneficiaries of this initiative recently underwent comprehensive training in briquette production, courtesy of the NEDC. With the provision of these machines, they now have the opportunity to apply their knowledge in real-world settings, potentially turning their skills into sustainable livelihoods.
Briquette Making Machines are designed to convert waste biomass into high-quality briquettes, providing a cleaner and more efficient alternative to traditional fossil fuels.
