Former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Namibia’s first President, Comrade Dr. Sam Nujoma. In a heartfelt tribute on his X account, Sani described Nujoma as a revolutionary icon who led Namibia’s long and bitter struggle against colonial rule and oppression.
“Africa has lost a great revolutionary who freed his country from colonial occupation. A true friend of Nigeria, he visited many times and appreciated the support rendered during the struggle. May his soul rest in peace. Amin,” Sani posted.
Nujoma, a Pan-Africanist and liberation hero, played a pivotal role in securing Namibia’s independence and remained a strong advocate for African unity. His death is a great loss to the continent.
