Gunmen have abducted retired Brigadier General Maharazu Isma’il Tsiga, a former Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), in a midnight raid on Tsiga village, Bakori LGA, Katsina State.
The attackers, arriving on motorcycles, stormed the village from 12 midnight to 3 a.m., whisking away the retired General to an unknown destination. While no fatalities were reported, several residents sustained injuries.
This latest abduction follows a surge in attacks across Kafur, Malumfashi, and Bakori LGAs, where gunmen have been abducting residents and rustling livestock, heightening concerns over security in the region.
