The Bauchi State Commissioner for Finance and Economic Development, Dr. Yakubu Adamu, has defended Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed over his stance on federal tax policies. The Finance Commissioner was questioning the political contributions of Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tuggar to the development of his State Bauchi.

In a statement released by Usman Abdullahi Koli spokesman of Dr. Adamu, described Governor Bala Mohammed as a leader who understands the struggles of the people, emphasizing that his opposition to the federal government’s tax policies is based on economic realities, not political maneuvering.

He said the Bauchi State Government remains committed to policies that ease economic burdens, adding that the administration has invested in education, infrastructure, healthcare, and employment generation to improve the lives of residents.

Dr. Adamu accused Minister Tuggar of disconnecting from the people of Bauchi, despite holding a key federal position.
