NSCDC, Customs Strengthen Ties to Tackle Border Crimes in Katsina

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) have reaffirmed their commitment to enhanced collaboration in securing Nigeria’s borders and protecting critical national assets.

During a courtesy visit to the Customs Area Controller of the Katsina Area Command, Comptroller Abba-Aji Idriss, the NSCDC State Commandant, Aminu Datti Ahmad, emphasized the long-standing cooperation between the two agencies.

He highlighted their joint efforts in intelligence sharing, operations, and training as key to tackling trans-border crimes and other security challenges.

“I am here today to seek your cooperation, collaboration, and continuous synergy,” Ahmad stated, stressing the vision of the NSCDC Commandant General, Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, to strengthen national security and infrastructure protection.

Comptroller Idriss welcomed the NSCDC delegation warmly, assuring them of continued partnership.

“Customs and NSCDC have successfully carried out numerous operations in the state, and we will sustain this synergy to ensure effective border security,” he said.

The visit featured an inspection of the quarter guard, the presentation of a souvenir, and a group photograph to mark the renewed collaboration.
