Former Lagos State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Captain Tunji Shelle, has strongly criticized the continued membership of Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, in the party while serving in President Tinibu’s All Progressives Congress (APC) government.
Shelle described Wike’s actions as an “anti-party activity,” insisting that his appointment contradicts the PDP’s constitution. He urged the former Rivers State Governor to “honourably leave the PDP and allow members to manage its affairs.”
The ex-Lagos PDP boss’s remarks reflect growing tensions within the opposition party, as Wike’s role in Tinibu’s administration continues to fuel controversy.
