NSCDC Nabs Suspected Railway Vandals in Plateau

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC has arrested suspected vandals accused of stealing railway tracks in Plateau State. The suspects were apprehended during a special operation aimed at curbing infrastructure sabotage in the region.

According to the NSCDC State Commandant, the syndicate had been under surveillance following intelligence reports about their activities. Security operatives intercepted them while they were allegedly attempting to cart away rail components meant for national transportation development.

“The protection of critical national assets remains our priority, and we will not relent in bringing economic saboteurs to justice,” the Commandant stated.

The arrested suspects are currently in custody and will face prosecution after the completion of investigations. The NSCDC reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding public infrastructure and warned criminals to desist from such acts or face the full wrath of the law.
