The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC, Katsina State Command, has reinforced its collaboration with the 17 Brigade of the Nigeria Army to tackle security challenges in the region.
During a courtesy visit to the Brigade Command Headquarters, Natsinta, Katsina, the State Commandant of NSCDC, Aminu Datti Ahmad, emphasized the importance of inter-agency synergy in addressing the state’s growing insecurity.
“With the prevailing security situation, robust collaboration between security agencies is vital to safeguarding Katsina and Nigeria at large,” Commandant Ahmad stated. He highlighted the leadership vision of the NSCDC Commandant General, Ahmed Abubakar Audi, in fostering cooperation through intelligence sharing, joint training, and operations.
Brigadier General BO Omopariola, Commander of the 17 Brigade, lauded the NSCDC’s role in protecting critical national assets and maintaining harmony in joint operations. He pledged continued collaboration to enhance the region’s security architecture.
The meeting concluded with the presentation of souvenirs and a group photograph, underscoring the strengthened bond between the two agencies.
