In a significant move to bolster security, the Katsina Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC and the Katsina Police Command have pledged stronger collaboration to combat crime and safeguard public assets in the state.
The renewed commitment was highlighted during a courtesy visit by the NSCDC State Commandant, Aminu Datti Ahmad fsf, MADM, to the Commissioner of Police (CP), Aliyu Abubakar Musa Psc+, at the Katsina Police Command Headquarters.
Commandant Ahmad emphasized the importance of unity between the two agencies, stating that the visit aimed to solidify their existing partnership. He called for continuous cooperation, noting that a united approach is key to achieving positive results in crime prevention and public safety.
“Ridding Katsina State of crime requires all hands on deck. Together, we can protect lives, public assets, and infrastructure,” Ahmad said.
In his response, CP Aliyu Abubakar Musa expressed confidence in their partnership, praising Commandant Ahmad’s proactive leadership. He assured that the Police Command’s doors remain open for mutual support.
“My relationship with the NSCDC is very cordial, and I look forward to an even stronger and more harmonious partnership,” the CP reiterated.
The visit featured an inspection of the quarter guard, the presentation of a souvenir, and a group photograph, symbolizing the strengthened collaboration.
The NSCDC Katsina Command and the Police reaffirmed their joint mission to ensure public safety and enhance security efforts across the state.
