The palliative distribution train of Senator Abdul’aziz Musa Yar’adua of Katsina Central Senatorial District has arrived Danmusa local government area on Saturday, where over one thousand people benefitted.
The distribution indicated that the ratio of 50 males – 50 females totalling to 100 from each of the 10 Political Wards in area received a bag of Rice.
The distribution of the palliative which took place at the premises of the local government Secretariat, followed the philanthropic nature of the Senator in cushioning the current situation within the Ramadan period.
Shortly before the launch of the palliative distribution, Senator Abdul’aziz Yar’adua said he action was in Consonant with the sympathetic move of the state Governor Malam Dikko Umar Radda to make the vulnerable have a sigh of relief particularly in this blessed Month of Ramadan.
The Senator disclosed that another three categories of assistance would by the grace of Allah be initiated within next week across the eleven local government areas of his District.
While applauding the efforts of the state Governor for identifying with people of the state, Senator Yar’adua therefore urged people of the area to reciprocate the gesture by supporting policies and programmes of both the state and federal government.
Earlier, the APC Chairman of the area Alhaji Muhammad Rabi’u Danmusa and the Council Leader Alhaji Hayatu Shehu representing the local council Chairman appreciated the action of the Senator.
Some of the beneficiaries Abubakar Sani and Binta Shehu expressed appreciation and pledged to utilize the palliative as expected and prayed for the Senator to have blessed representation.
Those that accompanied the Senator include former Members of the state House of Assembly Alhaji Jabiru Yau Yau and Alhaji Halilu Manjo, Alhaji Abu Bala and Alhaji Abdu Sani D/ma among others.
