Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, has inaugurated several impactful projects initiated by Senator Mohammed Tahir Monguno and House of Representatives member Engr. Bukar Talba, marking a significant milestone in the development of Northern Borno.
At a ceremony in Monguno, Zulum unveiled 10 Lexus SUVs distributed by Senator Monguno to party stalwarts, along with 15 pickup vans aimed at boosting local commerce. Additionally, 400 beneficiaries who completed horticulture training received N100,000 each and starter packs to enhance their livelihoods.
Governor Zulum also commissioned a newly constructed block of six classrooms at Abbari Primary School, delivered by Rep. Talba, and a block of 10 shops at Monguno Central Market built by the local government council to stimulate the local economy.
Zulum lauded the lawmakers and the council for their commitment to grassroots development, highlighting the direct impact of their projects on the lives of Monguno residents.
The governor’s visit to Monguno followed a trip to Baga on Wednesday, as part of his broader efforts to assess security and coordinate developmental activities across Northern Borno.
“This is a testament to our collective resolve to rebuild and transform our communities,” Zulum said during the event.
