The former General Manager of Radio Nigeria Peace FM Hajjiya Fatima Audu Yusuf has formally handed over the affairs of the station to the new Acting General Manager, Abba Mohammed Dikko. This follows her retirement from the service of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria after thirty years of service.
In her address during the handing and taking formalities the outgoing General Manager of Radio Nigeria Peace FM, , commended the staff of the corporation for their dedication and hard work during her tenure.
She praised the staff for their commitment to delivering quality broadcasting services to Nigerians during her service.
Hajia Fatima Audu Yusuf expressed gratitude to God Almighty for a successful tenure, as well as for the opportunity to serve as the General Manager of Radio Nigeria Peace FM Maiduguri.
The former GM also commended Governor Babagana Umara Zulum for his contributions towards the development of the station.
The new Acting General Manager, Abba Mohammed Dikko, has assured staff that his administration will be inclusive and will carry everyone along.
He emphasized the importance of teamwork and collaboration in achieving the organization’s goals and urged staff to be committed, dedicated, and professional in their duties. He also assured them of his support and encouragement.
The new Acting General Manager, Abba Mohammed Dikko, who is also the former Head of News, pledged to address the welfare and training needs of staff, as well as upgrade the organization’s facilities and equipment to modern standards.
In a vote of thanks on behalf of the staff and management of the organization during the handing-over ceremony, the Head of News, Hauwa Bata, expressed gratitude to the outgoing General Manager, Hajia Fatima A. Yusuf, for her leadership and contributions to the growth and development of the station.
She also welcomed the new General Manager and assured him of the staff’s cooperation and support.
The new Acting General Manager began his career with FRCN in 2003, becoming a pioneer staff member of the station.
His trajectory saw him rise to the position of Head of News and Current Affairs before his latest appointment as Acting General Manager.
