The Katsina State councils of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) have lauded Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda for implementing transformative policies that uplift workers, retirees, and citizens.
In a joint press release, the unions expressed gratitude for the governor’s achievements, including: N70,000 Minimum Wage Approval: Providing financial relief and boosting workforce morale.
Other achievements were Gratuity Backlog Clearance: Restoring retirees’ dignity and financial stability, Defined Pension Scheme: Ensuring predictable incomes for retirees and Free Healthcare for Retirees: Easing medical costs and enhancing well-being.
Also mentioned were Employer Healthcare Contributions: Strengthening access to affordable healthcare, Merit-Based Appointments: Promoting professionalism in governance, as well as Agriculture and SME Growth: Driving job creation and food security.
Also included were Improved Transportation: Enhancing mobility and reducing costs, Medical Student Sponsorship: Securing future healthcare improvements and Development Projects and Rumbun Sauki Initiative: Spurring economic growth and providing affordable services.
The unions commended the government’s dedication to economic growth, workers’ welfare, and social equity, urging sustained efforts to ensure continuous progress for all.
