Liquid Cash Amounting to N20 million, and 1,200 – 25kg bags of rice were Tuesday distributed to the Christians faithful in Bauchi south senatorial district by the senator representing the district, Senator Shehu Buba Umar to celebrate the ushering Christmas
Distributing the items to the beneficiaries at a ceremony held in Bauchi, the Director-General of ‘SBU For Governor’, Engr. Ishaq S Dabo said that Senator Shehu Buba Umar provides exemplary leadership in promoting equity, justice, and fairness in his senatorial district.
“In a gesture of goodwill and solidarity with the Christian community, Senator SBU has donated a generous sum of N20,000 million and 1,200 bags of rice to be distributed among the Christians in preparation for the upcoming Christmas celebration”, Engr. Dabo revealed.
Dabo noted with delight that such a gesture can foster unity and harmony among the diverse religious communities in the Bauchi senatorial district where Senator Shehu Buba Umar is representing.
According to him, by reaching out to the Christians population and supporting them during their religious festivities, Senator Buba is not only promoting social cohesion but also embodying the values of compassion and empathy that are essential in governance.
Engr. Ishaq Dabo explained that the Senator Shehu Buba is setting a shining example of good leadership, prioritizing the welfare and well-being of his teeming constituents, regardless of their different religious beliefs.
The director-general further stated, “His dedication to upholding principles of equity, justice, and fairness will undoubtedly have a positive impact on the unity and progress of Bauchi State as a whole”.
He added, “May Almighty Allah bless Senator Shehu Buba Umar for his selfless and compassionate actions, and may his leadership continue to inspire unity and understanding among the people of Bauchi State’.
The APC Chairman of Bogoro Local Government Area in the state, Hon. Istifanis Malasa who spoke on behalf of the beneficiaries, commended the senator for his humanitarian gesture especially at this festive period.
