Gov Radda on the Move: Unscheduled Inspections Across Katsina Spark Optimism

In a bold display of hands-on governance, Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, embarked on an unscheduled inspection of critical infrastructure projects, signaling his administration’s commitment to timely and quality project delivery.

The Governor’s tour began at the Katsina Dubai Market, where he evaluated ongoing rehabilitation work on the multi-billion-naira project inherited from his predecessor. His next stop was the ambitious 24.1-kilometer Eastern Bypass Road, inspecting progress from Yandaki Village through Ajiwa Junction and the Tashar Bala Interchange, before concluding at UMYUK Junction.

At Tashar Bala, Governor Radda reviewed the construction of a modern tractor assembly plant, a cornerstone of his administration’s agricultural modernization agenda. He also visited the Imaging Centre under construction at General Amadi Rimi General Hospital in Batagarawa, aimed at bolstering healthcare delivery.

Speaking to journalists, the Governor expressed satisfaction with the progress and announced ambitious timelines. “The Eastern Bypass Road and Dubai Market projects are on track for completion by mid-2025,” he said.

He further highlighted the dual purpose of the Tashar Bala facility, which will assemble 400 imported tractors and serve as a youth training hub in heavy machinery maintenance.

Governor Radda urged community members to safeguard these projects, emphasizing, “These developments belong to all of us; their longevity depends on our collective responsibility.”

This proactive inspection reinforces Governor Radda’s commitment to transforming Katsina through impactful infrastructure projects.
