The Committee tasked with investigating encroachment and unlawful allocation of government lands across Katsina State has completed its mission, submitting a comprehensive white paper report.
Chaired by Alhaji Sulaiman Yakubu Safana, the Committee unveiled its findings at the office of the Secretary to the Government of the State.
Expressing gratitude to Governor Dikko Umar Radda for the opportunity to serve, Alhaji Safana highlighted the widespread unlawful allocation of sensitive government lands uncovered during their investigation.
These findings prompted the State Government’s decisive action in setting up the Committee in 2023 to reclaim illegally converted lands and assets across the state.
In receiving the report, Barrister Abdullahi Garba Faskari, the Secretary to the Government of the State, commended the Committee members for their expertise and dedication in identifying the encroached lands.
He assured the State Government’s commitment to implementing the white paper’s recommendations, reaffirming Governor Dikko Radda’s appreciation for the Committee’s service to the people of Katsina State.
