An an efforts to encouraging the Teaching and Learning at the grassroot level, the Association Of Primary School Head Teachers Of Nigeria, ( AOPSHON ) in Yobe State has presented the award for outstanding performance for the outgoing year under review.

The Deserving Stakeholder who bagged the award according Local Chapter Of the Association under Nguru Local Education Authority is nobody except the Education Secretary of the mention Local Government, Alhaji Hamisu Ado.

During the presentation of the award by the outgoing Chairman of the Association, now Secretary of the Local Chapter of the National Union Of Teachers Nguru Local Government Branch, Mallam Garba Badamasi aided by the Deputy Chairman of the NUT Nguru chapter, Mallam Sabiu Sabo.

According to the Mallam Garba Badamasi ” We presented the award to the Education Secretary Of Nguru LGEA in person of Alh. Hamisu Ado in recognition of his outstanding performance throughout his brief staying as a Leader who humbly dedicated his time and energy toward charting a new course to the growth and development of the Education Sector in all the nooks and crannies of Nguru Local Government Area”.

” We believed the Secretary will continue to use his influence, experience, expertise above all his positive relationship with the all donors agencies particularly the INGOs within his contacts to promote Teaching and Learning the way and manner we are witnessing right now “.

Speaking after receiving the award, Alh. Hamisu Ado dedicated the award to the entire Yobe State Universal Basic Education Management Team, particularly the Board’s Chairman, Mallam Umaru Hassan Babayo staff belonging to the Nguru LGEA as well.

Ado said, “without the contributions, support and advise of all nothing could be achieved”.

In his response, Mallam Garba Mohammed Umar who is a United Nation Children’s Support Fund facilitator use the gathering of all Head Teachers to emphasized the importance of Self School Evaluation.

Urging all Head Teachers present at gathering to take the bull by the horn, saying Conduct Self School Evaluation is just like piping through the mirrow to know what is not in order before embarking on stage presentations”.
