The Katsina State Police Command has uncovered a criminal syndicate supplying security uniforms to armed bandits terrorizing Danmusa LGA and its surroundings. Leading the arrests is Aminu Hassan, 25, apprehended in possession of concealed military uniforms during a patrol along the Yantumaki-Kankara highway.
Further investigation led to the arrest of three accomplices in Kaduna State, with a total of 15 military and police uniforms seized. The suspects confessed to the crime and are set to face prosecution.
In another operation, the command arrested seven suspects in Kaita LGA for allegedly luring and assaulting four minors aged 13 to 14. The police acted swiftly following reports, ensuring the safety of the victims and initiating legal proceedings against the perpetrators.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Aliyu Abubakar Musa, commended the operatives for their dedication and urged the public to continue providing vital intelligence to strengthen the fight against crime.
“Together, we can ensure peace and security for all,” the Commissioner emphasized.
