The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps and the Federal Road Safety Corps in Kano have resolved to complement each other in the discharge of the 2 agencies assigned mandates.
The State Commandant of the Corps, Comdt Mohammed Lawal Falala, fcna made the disclosure while playing host to the newly posted Sector Commander of the FRSC in his office.
Commandant Mohammed Falala reiterated the stance of the Corps for a continued collaboration and support to the service in terms of its operations as well as mutually beneficial exchange of intellectual security ideas for the overall benefit of personnel.
The State Commandant, while receiving the sector commander expressed his delight with the visit and appreciated road safety for enlightening motorists and road users with safety precaution measures, a development that led to minimizing incidents of road accidents in the state.
Earlier in his remarks, the newly deployed FRSC’s sector commander, CC Umar Matazu Masa’udu said the rationale behind his visit was to formally introduce himself to the Corps in order to solidify and cement the already cordial relationship.
The sector commander expressed his great pleasure with the warm reception, revealing that the FRSC has benefited enormously with the NSCDC’s good gesture over the years for constant operational support, while also saluting the gallantry of the officers and men of the Corps across the country for exhibiting professionalism, courage and commitment in safeguarding critical national assets and infrastructure.
Commander Umar concluded with an optimism that the existing synergy with the Corps will continue to wax stronger.
Highlights of the event include quarter guard mounted in honour of the guest and presentation of souvenir to Commandant Falala by the visiting Sector Commander.
