VP Shettima Heads to Abidjan for SIREXE 2024 Opening

Vice President Kashim Shettima departed Abuja early Wednesday for Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, to attend the opening ceremony of the International Exhibition of Extractive and Energy Resources (SIREXE) 2024.

SIREXE 2024, scheduled from November 27 to December 2, is a flagship international conference focused on “Policies and Strategy for the Sustainable Development of the Extractive and Energy Industries.” Hosted by Côte d’Ivoire’s government, the event will bring together global leaders to chart the future of sustainable energy.

At the invitation of Côte d’Ivoire’s Vice President, Tiémoko Meyliet Koné, VP Shettima will spotlight Nigeria’s strides in hydrocarbon exploration and production, emphasizing the nation’s role in driving sustainable energy solutions.

The Vice President is expected to return to Abuja later today.
