The occasion was scheduled for 10: 00am when the five emirs arrived at the Legislative complex much earlier to avoid lateness or even queried officially by superior public officers in the government circle.

The emirs were Dr. Rilwanu Suleiman Adamu of Bauchi, Alh. Ahmed Suleiman, mni of Misau, Alh. Nuhu Ahmed Wani 111 of Jama’are, Alh. Haruna Yunusa Danyaya of Ningi and Alh. Usman Bilyaminu Othman of Dass, whereas the emir of Katagum, Alh. Umar Faruk 11 was unavoidably absent.

Others who waited for such an undeserved period of time included the lawmakers themselves who the governor would require their support for the efficient and speedy passage of the appropriation bill, former senators, former speakers of the state, as well as members of the State Executive Council, among others.

Governor Bala Mohammed ventured into the legislative chamber at about 11: 47am only to apologized to the two hours converged dignitaries who long endeavoured to await the arrival of the state number one citizen for the budget presentation.

It could also be recalled that the previous day Wednesday, Governor Bala Mohammed appeared at the Executive chamber of the Government House at 11: 40am for a Council meeting scheduled to commence by 10: 00am.

If this unbecoming official conduct of the governor persist, can any public officer be blamed for following suit or late arrival to his/her official duties, and how does that precedence affect the economy of the state, vis-a-vis it’s social milliue.
