For the second time in less than two weeks, Senator Abdulaziz Musa Yar’adua has supported irrigation Farmers in Dutsin-Ma LG of Katsina State.
He supported them with fertilizers, pumping machines and sprayers.
Senator Yar’Adua who hold the traditional title of Mutawallen Katsina is the Senator representing Katsina Central Senatorial district in the Senate of federal Republic of Nigeria.
He is also the chairman Senate committee on Army and also Chairman Northern Senators Forum.
It can be recalled that, less than two weeks back Senator Yar’Adua has distributed hundreds of bags of fertilizer to irrigation farmers in Dutsin-Ma LG.
Malam Zailani Muhammad Jikan Maigari, coordinator of Senator Abdulaziz Musa Yar’adua who represented the Senator during the event explained that the aim of supporting the irrigation farmers is to improve irrigation farming in Dutsin-Ma LG.
Malam Zailani Muhammad recalled that even during the wet season farming, Senator Yar’adua has provided free fertilizer to wet season farmers in the area, he further recalled that apart from boosting agriculture in the area, Senator Abdulaziz Musa Yar’adua has provided solar powered street lights that were installed in the general hospital Dutsin-Ma and major roads of the town in order to boost security in the area.
The Senator has also trained some young people in the area on solar installation in order to make them self-reliant.
Irrigation farmers that benefitted from the gesture expressed gratitude to the Senator and urged him to repair their dam that broke down some years back due to flooding.
On behalf of the benefitting farmers, Dutsin-Ma local government chairman Hon. Sada Ibrahim Sada and member representing Dutsin-Ma local government at Katsina State House of Assembly Hon. Abubakar Muhammad Khamis who spoke through their representatives thank the Senator for what he is doing for the development of Dutsin-Ma LGA and Katsina State in general.
They described the Senator as a good representative of his people and asked him to continue with the good work he is doing.
