If recall that there has been a serious scarcity of Anti-Snake Venom at the Snakebite Treatment and Research Hospital Kaltungo due to its high cost and unavailability in the country.
In his response, the Executive Chairman of Kaltungo Local Government Council, Honorable (Dr) Iliya Suleiman (Togor Yamb Kaltungo), and the Mai Kaltungo, HRH Engr. Saleh Muhammad Umar OON ‘Mai Kaltungo’ (Northern Traditional Leaders Committee, North East Coordinator, Deputy Chairman Gombe State Council of Emirs and Chiefs), have successfully facilitated the provision of Anti-Snake Venom to the hospital from the Federal Government of Nigeria.
This collaborative effort aims to assist snakebite victims from across the state and nation, ensuring seamless treatment to save lives and improve citizens’ livelihoods.
According to the Chairman, the Anti-Snake Venom was donated free of charge by the federal government to help the hospital manage the daily influx of snakebite cases.
The management of the Snakebite Treatment and Research Hospital Kaltungo expressed their gratitude to the Chairman and the Mai Kaltungo for their efforts and assured their continued dedication to serving humanity, ensuring that the drugs will be used effectively to help snakebite victims.
Following the symbolic presentation, the Chairman and the Emir toured the hospital, greeted patients, and wished them a speedy recovery.
Honorable (Dr.) Iliya Suleiman reaffirmed his commitment to the welfare of his people, assuring the citizens of Kaltungo of his unwavering support for their betterment and that of the Local Government Area at large.
