Flags off N306m Empowerment Scheme in Katsina
Vice President Kashim Shettima reiterated the call for patience with the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration, assuring Nigerians of the President’s commitment to improving living conditions.
Speaking in Kafur, Katsina State, during the flag-off of a N306 million empowerment scheme, VP Shettima emphasized President Tinubu’s empathy and support for the people.
The initiative, sponsored by Hon Ibrahim Kabiru Masari, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Political Matters, aims to uplift the citizens.
The VP highlighted the administration’s plans for peace and development, praising well-meaning individuals like Hon Ibrahim Masari for their support.
Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin commended the initiative, and Chairman of the Northern Governors’ Forum, Governor Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya, urged beneficiaries to use the support wisely.
National Chairman of APC, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, acknowledged the scheme’s alignment with the party’s manifesto.
Katsina State Governor, Dr Dikko Radda, advised the affluent to support the needy, and over N306 million was disbursed across 11 local government areas in Katsina South Senatorial District.
Dignitaries present included Governors of Borno, Yobe, and Jigawa States, Ministers, and members of the National Assembly from Katsina State.
