The Sokoto state government has put all machinery in place to pay
N70,000minimum wage this month, November 2024.
Head of service who disclosed this recently in Sokoto said the payment is to put
smile on the faces of all workers in the state.
According to the HOS, the decision was reached after meeting with all
stakeholders including the very important NLC Excos.
It could be recalled that the Sokoto state government was in the forefront
to accept the payment of the new minimum wage of N70,000.
In another development, the Sokoto state government has established Ministry
of Digital Innovation to ensure that all civil servants in the state were ICT
compliant.
The state governor,Dr.Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto while speaking at the ICT new
innovation stated that gone are the days of Analog systems of doing things.
He stated further that the already over 10,000 youthful staff that are ICT
compliant have been drafted to the new ministryto kickstart the noble ICT venture in the state.
According to Governor Ahmed Aliyu, “my dream is to see that all our civil
servants become ICT experts because “gone are the days of analog systemns of
doing things”-the Governor stressed.
