Amid rising hardship and economic challenges tied to policies under President Bola Tinubu’s administration, many Nigerians are calling on former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan to step in once again.

Following his 2020 election loss, Trump’s re-election as the 47th U.S. President is seen as one of the country’s most notable political revivals.

Trump, a member of the Republican Party and former president from 2016 to 2020, secured his win against Kamala Harris, the incumbent Vice President and Democratic candidate.

The victory has energized supporters of former leaders around the world, including those of Jonathan.

Taking to his X account on Sunday, Jonathan extended congratulations to Trump, calling his achievement remarkable.

Supporters urged him to follow Trump’s example, reminding him of the potential impact his leadership could have on lifting the nation from the challenges it currently faces.
