In a show of appreciation for exceptional service, Hon. Abdullahi Aliyu, the Chairman of the House Committee on Interior and Dujiman Katsina, decorated NSCDC Katsina Command’s Armed Squad Unit Commander, Chief Superintendent of Corps Jibril Usman, with his new rank, following his recent promotion by the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Board (CDCFIB).
The event, supported by State Commandant Jamilu Abdu Indabawa and represented by Area Commander ACC Aliyu Adamu Bakori, highlighted the achievements of the newly promoted Commander.
Hon. Aliyu praised Commandant General Ahmed Abubakar Audi, lauding his “steadfast commitment to restructuring the Corps and implementing innovative strategies to safeguard critical national assets and combat economic sabotage.”
Hon. Aliyu further commended Commander Usman, who also oversees VIP security operations in Katsina, acknowledging his commitment to peace and safety.
He described the promotion as well-deserved, recognizing Usman’s dedication and years of service since his enlistment in 2010.
Commander Usman, trained in counter-terrorism, arms identification, and interagency cooperation, has a track record of coordinating security operations across Katsina. His efforts in organizing specialized operations have significantly contributed to the safety of the state.
This decoration ceremony is another milestone for the NSCDC Katsina Command, reflecting the Corps’ commitment to a safer, more secure Katsina State.
