Governor Aminu Bello Masari of Katsina Sate has expressed deep sorrow at the brutal murder of the Commissioner of Science and Technology, Dr. Rabe Nasir.
Dr. Nasir, whose lifeless body was found in the toilet of his home, located at the Fatima Shema Housing Estate yesterday, was hacked to death by suspected assassins.
Describing the the murder as callous, a visibly shaken Governor Masari said that it was unfortunate that a life so promising is cut short by the dagger of assassins, vowing that the government would do everything possible to capture and punish accordingly, those responsible for the dastardly act.
He said it was so tragic that such young life would be cut abruptly, described the deceased as diligent, dedicated, hard working and loyal person who never failed in any assignment given to him.
According to the Governor, the Commissioner’s death is a great loss to Katsina State.
While consoling the immediate the deceased immediate family, including a wife, children, an aged mother and several siblings, the Katsina State Governor urged them to take solace in the fact that, in addition to the inevitability of death on every living soul, Dr. Nasir has lived a fulfilled life worthy of emulation despite his relatively young age
