Ondo State was thrown into mourning after a devastating auto crash claimed the lives of 28 passengers in a fiery inferno. The tragic accident, which occurred along the busy Ore-Ondo highway, involved a commercial bus and a truck, leaving charred remains as emergency responders struggled to contain the blaze.
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has since issued a stern warning to motorists, urging strict adherence to traffic regulations to prevent further carnage on Nigerian roads. FRSC officials blamed reckless driving and excessive speed for the crash, reiterating the need for caution, especially as the festive season approaches.
Authorities have commenced investigations, while efforts are underway to identify the victims and inform their families.
