His Royal Highness, the Emir of Dads, Alhaji Usman Bilyaminu Othman has been appointed to lead Bauchi state contingent to the 2024 pilgrimage exercise in Saudi Arabia as the State Amirul Hajj.
A letter of approval for the appointment by Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Barr. Ibrahim Mohammed Kasim indicated that the Amirul Hajji team had the appointment of 13 other prominent citizens of the state.
The Government House letter explained that the appointment of the team is based upon the membership devotion, exemplary dedication, discipline and divine service to Almighty Allah, carefully selected to oversee the smooth coordination and facilitation of pilgrims from Bauchi state during the obligatory religious exercise in the Holyland.
The Amirul Hajj Team comprises individuals with extensive experience in managing pilgrimage affairs, ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of pilgrims.
Their appointment underscores the government’s unwavering commitment to providing seamless pilgrimage experiences for all intending pilgrims from Bauchi State.
In the Amirul Hajji membership appointment letters, Governor Bala Mohammed expressed confidence in the capabilities of the appointed team, emphasizing their capacity to uphold the highest standards of service delivery and professionalism throughout the Hajj exercise.
Senator Bala Mohammed reiterated the commitment and dedication of the state government to supporting the Bauchi intending pilgrims to the 2024 Hajj exercise while ensuring their welfare throughout their pilgrimage.
The 13 other appointed members of the Amirul Hajj Team are Deputy Speaker of Bauchi State House of Assembly, Hon. Jamilu Umaru Dahiru as Deputy Amirul Hajj, and the State Chief Judge, Justice Rabi Talatu Umar
Other members of the team included the State Grand Khadi, Khadi Umar Ahmed Liman; State Commissioner for Religious Affairs,
Hon. Yakubu Ibrahim Hamza; Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Ahmed Aliyu Jalam; and the District Head of Yelwan Duguri, Alh. Ibrahim Y.M Baba; as well as the Galadiman Bauchi
Surveyor Ibrahim Saidu Jahun.
Also included as members of the team are Alh. Yayanuwa Zainabari; Sheikh Zubairu A. Madaki; Sheikh Salisu Sulaiman Ningi; Sheikh Ibrahim Dahiru Bauchi; Malam Ahmad Inuwa Na’ibi; and Deputy Chief of Staff – Government House,

According to the Government House press statement, the team will work collaboratively with relevant authorities, including the State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) and the Saudi Arabian government, to ensure a seamless and successful pilgrimage experience for all Bauchi State pilgrims.
Governor Bala Mohammed therefore urged the appointed team to discharge their duties diligently, with the utmost sincerity, and in accordance with the principles of fairness, equity, and justice, as the
appointments takes immediate effect.
