The Zamfara sector command has announced the death of 17 people mostly women in Gummi local govt along Gwalli road due to a collapse bridge . The bridge with collapse within the week and the resident have been using sand bag for motorist to pass collapse due to the heavy load by the hummer bus.
The statement was released by the command public Education officer SRC Isah Aliyu .who also stated the sector commander CC ALIYU MAAJI deep sorrow and sadness due to the lost of lives.the sector commander condolences the government and People of Zamfara State over the incidence and advised motorist public against late travelled and overloading. He further advices motorist to seek for information on road conditions before travelling.
The sector commander thanks all Stakeholders who rally round to rescue some passengers inside the river.
